Pros

I spend my days installing and servicing access control systems, security hardware, and related equipment at customer locations. When I came here, I mainly wanted practical experience, and the job delivers it. I've become much more comfortable troubleshooting issues, reading system documentation, and working independently in the field.

Cons

You must constantly keep up with new technologies and product updates.

Learned how to manage service calls more efficiently, especially when several sites need attention on the same day. More responsibility compared to my previous job, which I welcome. Improving my problem-solving skills by handling different system issues. Managers communicate it in time when schedules have to change.

Cons

Training on newer systems is sometimes rushed before field assignments.
