Employees with a shared vision and mission

Pros

Lots of companies talk big about wanting to change the world, Kenzie actually delivers. Every employee I've met is dedicated to the mission, and wouldn't be here otherwise. There's a shared sense of purpose, and people will drop everything to help you. Every decision is truly viewed through the lens of "what's best for the students." There's people from a large variety of backgrounds and a general openness that you don't find many places.

Cons

It's a startup, so things can be chaotic. People who work better with a lot of process and structure might struggle here. Career tracks aren't as defined as most companies, but there's lots of opportunity to create your own path if you are willing to put in the effort.

Pros

Fast-growing startup, very flat hierarchy, supportive growth-oriented culture. Well-connected, central to the community, non-toxic. Has a great product that promises to be disruptive to the entire education industry. Work hard, play hard

Cons

The usual startup cons: lack of firm guidelines, requires personal accountability, sometimes working nights and weekends by choice
