Pros

The only Pro that I can think of is that one could balance professional and personal life in this company. Other than that a few good colleagues, but that's it.

Cons

List of them: - Software Test Engineer position was new in the company, because they wanted to improve their process and find more bugs at the starting rather than later in the cycle. However, we ( the new testers who joined), were used as guinea pigs, to "try" it out. - Got no respect, had no value, people complained why we were needed - It took managers 3-4 months to decide our role!! How Ridiculous! - They had no idea what software tests role is and where we fit in the cycle - We had restrictions on working from home, but others had the liberty to do so - We were always raised fingers at because we were easy targets - WE WERE LAID OFF BECAUSE WE WERE VULNERABLE AND NEW (If they were serious about fixing their messed up process, they would not have removed testing jobs in less than a year of us joining) This means, they were never serious about making changes - Very rigid about changing process. If someone questioned and tried changing it, they became the villains. - Not open to changes

Pros

Most of the reps are nice, company car, gas card

Cons

There has been complaints from many reps on the managers. Everything ranging from sexual harassment to threatening reps. Some managers are worse than others, but the attitude and negativity seems to be coming from the top since they all exhibit the same mannerisms. Also, do not go to HR with any issues you have because the sales management will hold this against you and will make your life hell until you quit. They have made a very large investment on a sales training program and there has been very little return on investment. In fact, the number are actually down from previous years. Because they made this investment and are not getting the return they were expecting they are forcing it down everyone's throats. If you do not sell the exact way this training program teaches you, you better start looking for a new job because they are very strict with it. They are blaming the reps for the low numbers because they are not fully implementing the program rather than the program itself. They fail to understand each rep sells in a unique way and some things work with some reps and doesn't work with others. They are attempting to make robots out of everyone which never works. They also have recently implemented a new CRM which tracks everyone's whereabouts 24/7. You have to not only log every sales call in CRM but also in two different spread sheets and a detail review of what was presented on every sales call. I believe the micromanagement has only began and will only get worse. Many reps have been leaving because of these reasons and they still don't get it, or they just don't care.

Pros

Learn new skill sets and work outside of your comfort zone. Compensation is good provided you can justify it. Benefits are good.

Cons

I've seen heads roll from President to entire offices & teams let go. This usually happens at the end of March after bonuses are distributed and applies to all Operating Companies under Danaher. Regardless of how long you've been here or how well you do your job, your job is always on the line. Doing well earns you a 3% raise which equates to exceeding expectations in their annual reviews. Employee morale is in the gutter. It's a dog eat dog environment where everyone is trying to prove they're worth keeping around. This also means your manager will not develop your career because that means s/he is closer to being cut. Kavo Kerr and all Danaher companies should be viewed as short term gigs due to their frequent use of layoffs to maintain a lean operating environment. Gain skill sets, pad your resume, and look elsewhere for long-term positions. Unless there's a vital skill set you can pick up here, it's just not worth it. Overall, this is a highly traditional, corporate environment that felt like stepping back into the 90's. Some of the technology is great to add to your resume, but expect to be micromanaged and treated like a kid. The dental industry as a whole is pretty boring and slow to adapt to the internet business model.
