Pros

There are no pros. The place has been unprofessional from the start.

Cons

Horrible work place. I was told I'll be working 4 days from home and then 1 day in the office when necessary, then on my first day they told me my schedule is now full time on site. When I asked, they just responded with "It's what the higher ups wanted". They kept piling up unreasonable amounts of work, then they were wondering why the team is unable to keep up with the work. I've joined a team where most of the team members are burnt out and looking for other opportunities. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.

Incompetent Management

Pros

Healthcare benefits are pretty good and paid for by the company.

Cons

Key Concepts Knowledgebase has incompetent management where non-technical project managers are in charge of expansive IT projects. For a company with "knowledgebase" in the name they sure have little to know knowledge of the work environment and don't listen to those who do have expertise in the work being performed. If you work with these guys you are going to get a lot of "I don't know" answers from management when you ask questions and you'll instead have more unnecessary work thrown on you because they won't fight for you when the customer adds more demands to the project. Salary isn't much for the DC area. They got the contract cheap so don't expect them to be able to payout much despite the amount of work and stress the job entails. Standard 10 day PTO, but NO sick leave, they do NOT match 401K, and commuting benefits are subpar. They only thing they seemed to get right was their healthcare benefits. There is definitely no career growth here. The job you are hired into is the job you are going to have until you decide to leave for something better. They try to promote "teamwork" and "family" in their culture, but it's all a facade if anything. If you do end up working here, use what you learn to discover the wrong way to do things so you can go somewhere else one day to become a better person for a better company.
