There are a lot of cons. The CEO constantly gets projects that are out of scope for the company and then the employees get blamed for when deadlines are missed. In reality, there were just not enough employees to complete the project. People with less experience were made project leads when they had no business leading projects. Technical writers were constantly having to do things that were far outside of their job description. There was a lot of favoritism shown to some employees just because they got along with the managers, not because they were any better at the job. Finally, there was the overtime. It wasn't mandatory, but the ones that didn't volunteer for the overtime were looked down upon. If the work pipeline was better, and projects were picked according to the company's size, there wouldn't be a need for overtime. After the overtime, we were told there weren't any benefits. It took the employees fighting enough to get something out of the overtime. After that, it wasn't even bonus pay (the company couldn't afford it), it was just just few extra vacation hours.

Everything about this job was awful.
