Pros

I met some amazing people, all of us zupervisors felt like a family. Even though most of us have left now, we're all still friends and regularly see each other. Working with children can be full of ups and downs. You rarely have time to be bored, and the children keep you on your toes. The variation of establishments you supervise aids in that also.

Cons

From the very beginning, there was a lack of organisation (which could be argued is normal for a start up company, however months in the problems persisted). They failed to pay everyone correctly the entire time I was there. Not to mention the fact that we were grossly underpaid for the level of work required from us. The rotas made absolutely no sense. Our shifts were way too long, breaks were rarely given on time and we were expected to come back early from our breaks. We had to deep clean our establishments, despite cleaners being employed by KidZania. Cleaning was never a part of my job description, it was more than just general tidying. We were expected to mop the floors, clean the windows, and take out the bins despite having just worked a 10 hour shift. There was no flexibility with hours, including part time positions (who had to work 5 days a week, with no flexibility). We weren't paid sick pay, despite the fact that so many of us fell ill because of the conditions we worked under. When we started at work, it was still a building site. We were breathing in dust and paint fumes all day for weeks, then the constant air con made us all ill despite us asking several times for them to turn it down. There was a serious lack of communication between management and staff, with new rules being created out of the blue every other day, effective immediately. The uniform policy was sexist, boys were asked not to wear earrings even though they were permitted for girls. Several procedures regarding employee safety and rights were not in place. In fact, there was a complete disregard for employee welfare from the management team. Our coordinators were inundated with complaints from us, and were not helped at all by their superiors in dealing with them. Hard work was never appreciated. We were working like dogs and so much was asked of us, though we were rarely thanked for it. Then they refused to pay us for any over time. If we got paid at all. Not to mention, the Artistic team being paid more than us for doing the same job. As a result of this, dozens of staff members resigned, a few every day. People stopped coming in to work, or arriving late. Meaning that the rest of us had EVEN more pressure put upon us to pick up the slack of being constantly understaffed. In addition to the fact that we were never actually fully staffed from the beginning. It was a horrible experience, and had it not been for the friends I made there I would have left a hell of a lot sooner.

Pros

I got to work with amazing people (minus management) The launch of Kidzania was great as we got to meet the Mexican owner of Kidzania, who is a lovely person. The start of the company had a fantastic energy and everyone was happy. There were time and effort put into the company and teams.

Cons

I was with the company from the start of the London launch, I couldn't continue to work for a company that is unorganised and not loyal to their staff members! Staff are over worked for rubbish money, you would work for over 7 hrs without a break! There's no organisation within the management team, they pretend that there going to try and improve the company but don't. They're continuously breaking the contracts and changing it without notice. There not loyal to staff and they make a different between different departments even though there job is the same. Mr Cadburys is part owner of long shots and he comes into the city with a ignorant, inconsiderate, insulting attitude towards ALL staff. He doesn't understand the entertainment industry and it shows. There's nothing to keep the moral up as the management have a "can't be bothered attitude" They haven't trained most of the staff in fire evacuation which is a major point as there's a massive turn over with staff leaving. Since the beginning and up until I left, at least 80 staff members have left within 5 months (if not more) because of how bad this company is. There's too much politics within the company and it shows! It's not worth taking children there, never mind working there. I actually feel sorry for the Mexican owner as he doesn't realise how bad his company is ran. Don't be fooled on how great it looks. This is actual fact as I witnessed it my self. They have never cleaned the air conditioning which has lead to a lot of sickness within the teams. They had a rats running about different establishments because of the hygiene was terrible. Its actually destroyed staff members esteem and enjoyment within the entertainment industry from when you first start the company, being happy but that soon changes as you see how bad this company is. Every month staff have had problems with pay as it's always wrong. They don't pay you for holiday even though they say your entitled to 28 days.

Pros

Being able to see some smiles on little faces Concept is great

Cons

The horrible corporate structure in the organisation. There are way too many directors and managers. There are a lot of people up in management who are unqualified to do their roles. This would include people within the Directorial level too. The HR (whilst I had no issues with) were like the Gestapo. I've seen staff members afraid of them when they've walked into a room. The owners (well one) of the company is a corporate lawsuit ticking time-bomb
