Pros

The organization has a strong mission and serves an important community. Working directly with children and families can be meaningful when adequate support is provided

Cons

The work environment was unhealthy and driven by favoritism rather than accountability. Leadership support was inconsistent, and some individuals in lead roles did not model professionalism or basic communication, including refusing to engage with certain staff members. Staff behavior toward children and coworkers often changed noticeably when supervisors or visitors were present, creating inconsistent care. Teachers who raised concerns or asked for support frequently became targets or were labeled as problematic. Requests for basic support, including taking a mental health day, were denied, reinforcing a fear-based culture where employee well-being was not prioritized.
