Pros

A really well run company with a diverse set of products and a reliable customer base. Many of the employees and managers you work with are nice and will help you out with any issues or concerns you may have. HR is especially helpful and will bend over backwards to help you out if you ask.

Cons

Some of the processes, programs and software the company uses are very antiquated and need to be replaced. I think if you updated just a few of these issues, you would see a significant time savings and reduction in employee frustration. The company also has a few managers that need to be dismissed. While every company has turnover, whether it be due to an employee getting a better opportunity, a personality conflict or simply hiring someone who isn't a fit for the organization, this can only account for so many associates leaving or being terminated out of one department. However, when one person in a manager position manages to lose 4 or 5 people in a matter of months, and continues this trend over a long period of time, that manager needs to either be demoted or given their walking papers. You're investing far too much money and time in having to recruit, retrain and maintain employees as a result. It's understandable if someone is having a rough stretch, but again, when it becomes a pattern, you need to start at the top of the food chain and work your way down. I think if you start doing this, you'll find a few individuals that may seem to be an asset to the organization but are in fact liabilities that need to go.

Not very employee friendly.

Pros

For the most part they have steady and reasonable work hours. Also fairly good vacation time. Currently they are trying to address some of the issues that have plagued this company for awhile.

Cons

Morale at this facility is at rock bottom. They haven't given raises in years, not even small cost of living raises. Employees are constantly being asked to take on more and more work without compensation to match. Before Kimball Inc. took over this company, we had free coffee, now replaced by a machine that doesn't work half the time. We used to get an extra 15 minutes for lunch once a month. That has been taken away We used to get 2 brakes and lunch. They took away one of the brakes. We used to have once a month birthday parties for all employees whose birthday fell within that month. That too has been eliminated by management and HR's attitude towards employees.

Pros

Very diverse company. Work/life balance is good as well.

Cons

Pay is low for the area. Add the current inflation and is very difficult to catch up.
