Pros

35% OFF YOUR WEDDING DRESS?

Cons

The most unprofessional work environment I have ever been exposed to. Don't consider working there ever... INTERN, STOCK, SALES, even cleaning the bathroom. Just don't. Workers are constantly exploited to meet sale expectations. From pulling double jobs and working long shifts, understaffed and sometimes without breaks. The lack of management is astounding simply because of the power-hungry psychopath that self-proclaimed herself as queen of Kleinfeld Bridal aka VP. Stock girls were overworked to the point of forcing them with the cruel choice of deciding to drop out of school or work as a slave for the company. As if anyone would prefer to neglect their education for $11 an hour. No commission, even when management forces you to sell a dress due to the lack of consultants. How a company so rich in revenue manages to cut off vital necessities such as dry cleaning baffles me? Stock girls are expected to clean after consultants, organize the stock room, sell, wash the bras and robes and manage over 2,000 dresses in inventory, working from opening to close -sometimes after closing hours until a "VIP bride" or spoiled brat makes up her mind and get treated with disrespect daily to the point where people treat you as if you were inferior. No, thanks. Interns are also disrespected and expected to serve as maids to their employees. Might look amazing on your resume but personally, not worth it. Your clothes will get ruined. Don't look cute or, don't wear heels. You're walking nonstop to the fitting rooms, main salon and stock rooms. Some consultants are extremely rude to their interns. INTERNSHIPS ARE NON-PAID. School credit only but for the amount of work you do EVEN during the weekends.. I mean, go ahead. It's not the Devil Wears Prada and your manager isn't Meryl Streep. There are genuine bridal consultants at Kleinfeld whom truly care about their bride and listen to their concerns. Rosaria, Ingrid, Megan, Candance, Shay, Sara, Nicole. Ask for them! Others have gotten lazy over the years and if you're not saying yes.. good luck with the rest of your appointment. Bridal consultants have a comfortable job selling but management will pick and choose which employees get the "best" brides judging by their address and price budget. Often making some consultants sell more than others which leads to not being able to meet sale goals and when you don't, you're threatened with your job. I have personally witnessed consultants in tears. ITS ALL FAVORITISM. BEAUTIFUL TV SHOW, HORRIBLE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.

Pros

Work with top of the line fashion and very nice consultants.

Cons

Where to begin! Managers will try to "match" the consultant with the appropriate customer which means if you are not one of the managers "favorite pets" then you get brides who are playing dress up games or just watch Say Yes to the Dress on TV and want to see the store in person. They will have a wedding date that is set for 4 years from now or they live in a very poor area and cannot afford even our lowest price gowns. Managers are a bunch of hormonal, moody women who ultimately can control your salary by assigning the lousy customers to you. Of course if you kiss up then you will get the cream of the crop customer who is wearing a 3 carat rock and walks in with a Chanel bag and Gucci shoes. DO NOT work here. There is absolutely no opportunity to advance in the company at all. Owners are fake and pretend they care but still do nothing to help the consultants who all have the same complaints.

Pros

The opportunity to make money is there. Management cares about your personal life and will help out whenever they can.

Cons

It's like being in high school all over again. Kleinfeld is full of women which means that it can get pretty damn catty. More times than none, the money is not worth being surrounded by drama, especially when its coming from our "leaders".
