Pros

Met some great people, otherwise nothing unique to any other company.

Cons

Company culture is basically exploiting talented people while refusing to pay some a living wage. No mental health days or resources for when you eventually burn out, because the way they exploit you, the lack of structure or plan, as well as the empty promises and lies will definitely burn you out. Pretty much only men in senior leadership roles. Lack of structure, clear/attainable vision, and proper communication. Overall, a messy headache.

Pros

- A few colleagues are excellent mentors who take time to guide you - A work from home environment

Cons

- Workers are undervalued and underpaid for what they bring to the table - No transparency regarding raise/bonus policies - Reviews are solely for show, contributing nothing to employee recognition - Have an extracurricular skill? Don't talk about it or it will be exploited for no $ - No room to grow, once they use and abuse your skillset, you'll be replaceable - Claims to foster employee learning, but does not deliver whatsoever

Pros

* Collaboration among high-quality colleagues within the team and with customer success * Some of the founders are excellent at what they do * Sincere vision for wanting to help serve teachers and students.

Cons

* CEO valued his own time over others' and was not transparent about the difficulties of the organization. Culture isn't what we say when we're talking to a captive audience, it's what we actually do every single day. * There were multiple instances where the CEO was in a meeting that went downhill fast because he picked one person on the call to lambaste publicly. * Lack of clear direction -- good work was interrupted every few months by a different priority

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with our company. We appreciate your comments and want you to know that we take all feedback seriously. We are sorry to hear that you feel there is a lack of transparency in our organizational difficulties. As a company, we strive to communicate openly and transparently with our employees about the challenges we face, and we apologize if you have not felt this way. We have included a Q&A feature in our town halls which allows employees to submit questions for the leadership team anonymously. We will continue to work towards communicating effectively with our team members in the future as well. Regarding your concerns about the CEO not using meetings properly, we have shared your feedback with the CEO. He is grateful for your feedback and has acknowledged it. We have a great team of advisors and coaches supporting him both internally and externally, which will help him to continuously improve as a leader. We understand that productive meetings are crucial to the success of our organization and we are working to elevate how meetings are conducted. We are also sorry to hear that you feel good work is being interrupted due to a lack of clear direction and changing priorities. We understand the importance of providing our employees with clear direction, and through the performance management process and business review processes which were recently implemented we are working towards providing clarity to each role in our organization. We are using our town halls to share our evolving organizational priorities and communicate effectively and remain consistent. Once again, we appreciate your feedback and encourage employees to take advantage of our open door policy. We will take this feedback along with any other feedback we receive to make improvements and continue to elevate our employee experience.
