Fun, collaborative environment but high expectations and stagnant pay
Pros
Fun workplace in a closed door pharmacy. There is 0 patient interaction. It’s a small team so you will work closely with everyone. It is a startup so there may be opportunities to grow and learn new roles. This is a pet pharmacy so you will constantly see fun pet names and may see photos of the pets. The actual work is relatively easy, especially compared to a retail or hospital setting. The team is good about celebrating small and big victories. Fellow employees are kind and helpful.
Cons
There are a lot of high expectations and the bar for success continuously gets higher. It can feel like at times there is a lack of communication on expectations and things can and likely will be added to your plate. There is very little to no wage increases unless you gain licensure. If you come in as certified your wage will likely stay stagnant. What you are hired at is likely what you will stay at. You may be trained for multiple positions or may stay solely in 1 position 99% of the time. One of the teams mottos is ‘one team one dream’ but celebrating everyone can sometimes lead to individuals not getting the recognition they deserve. Because this is a startup, things are constantly evolving sometimes without much discussion amongst the team which can add complexity and uncertainty amongst team members.
