Pros

Nothing good about here. Just run.

Cons

The company’s CEO is a 20-year-old with no talent. He’s immature, moody, and lacks leadership. I hope the investors know this terrible leader and change him immediately. They promise about stocks, free lunch, WFH never existed. If they contact you, please shut the phone.

Hello, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear that your experience at Kody has left such a negative impression. We know startup life isn’t for everyone, it’s fast, demanding and often very intense. That said we never want anyone to feel this way and we’re constantly working to improve how we support our team especially as we grow and evolve. We take concerns about leadership and culture seriously and encourage open dialogue internally. While we won’t respond to personal comments, we stand by the hard work, ambition and achievements of the team. On the point about benefits: we do offer daily lunch in our London office, enhanced parental leave and health dental insurance. We’re transparent that equity is not guaranteed for every role and flexible working setups depend on team and location needs, but we aim to be clear about all of this in the hiring process. We appreciate your time with us and hope you find a role that’s the right fit for you in the future.

Pros

Nice and friendly colleagues who are always helpful.

Cons

The CEO is incompetent, and the middle management is basically spineless. Priorities often change on a whim, and work is wasted. The consequences of these actions are invariably blamed on employees who are often hired and fired in quick succession. 5 days in the office if you're in London, in a loud and crowded space where everyone is on calls with their remote colleagues all day.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your time at Kody left you feeling this way. We understand that the intensity of a high-growth startup isn’t for everyone. Our team works (as I am sure you know) in a very dynamic environment where priorities sometimes shift quickly, that’s the nature of building complex products at speed. However, we also know this can feel frustrating and we’re working hard to improve planning, communication and consistency across teams. In terms of leadership, while we don’t respond to personal comments, we’re confident in the direction we’re heading and proud of the progress the team has made. We take feedback seriously and are always looking for ways to grow and get better, including how we lead, support and empower people. We're grateful for your contributions over the years and wish you the best in whatever’s next.

Pros

I would say there are zero “Pro’s” DO NOT leave a job to go there.

Cons

Total lies from start to finish! ESOP shares never issued as promised in the last couple of years, staff benefits promised but never happened, Hire and fire mentality of a very controversial and controlling micro managing CEO Company off sites were nothing more than days of being locked in a hotel room listening how good the CEO and other board members were. Constant complaints from customers for being missed priced! No contact numbers on the board members email signatures! Sack people with zero notice.

Hello, thanks for taking the time to read and consider feedback about Kody. We have recently seen an increase in critical reviews that appear to coincide with some recent departures from the company. While we do not comment on individual cases, we do want to provide some broader context for prospective candidates or readers seeking a balanced view. At Kody, our goals are ambitious! We are building complex infrastructure in a very competitive space. This demands a high level of ownership, speed and accountability from everyone in the team. This intensity isn't for everyone and we are always trying to be transparent about that through the hiring process. This being said, we are aware that we are not perfect... we are still growing. We are actively working to improve our internal processes, onboarding and communications as we scale and move into new geographies. We also want to clarify that to the best of our knowledge, Kody is not subject to any regulatory investigations. We take compliance and ethics very seriously and we do not tolerate any form of misconduct. Despite the challenges of operating in our industry, we are very proud of what the team has been able to accomplish. In just over two years we have: 1) Raised over $30m in funding 2) Partnered with some of the worlds leading brands 3) Processed $1b in transaction volume across the UK and HK Working here is not easy, but we are lucky to be supported by a team of smart, driven individuals who care about building something meaningful. We work very hard and we celebrate wins together. We also have benefits such as health and dental insurance, enhanced parental leave, free lunch in our office everyday, regular team events and a budget to help you learn and develop. Thanks again for taking some time to learn a bit more about us!
