Pros

The concept was great and the hours were flexible.

Cons

For someone looking to advance in the fitness industry, this is not the place for you. Although their concept is innovative, it is an incredibly expensive gym and extremely hard to sell. The company has not updated the product and is not willing to change despite their failing gyms. Management sold memberships with the promise of losing 25 pounds in 6 weeks - which never happened - then refused to give those individuals their money back. Not for those with a serious fitness background. There were also no benefits and no PTO.

Pros

Lots of free time during shifts, positive environment (most of the time), good intro job to fitness industry, chance to help clients succeed in their fitness goals (mostly weight loss)

Cons

Terrible work/life balance if you seek full time hours, no benefits, little room for career advancement, corporate doesn't care for any of the privately owned franchises and for that reason many of them fail, lots of middle aged menopausing women complaining about everything they can think of, no substantial pay if you are trying to afford your own bills/ apartment, credentials from koko do not transfer outside of the club to other fitness facilities. Finally, how can the "world's first technology gym" not have a smart phone app? What is this, the 1990s? Even Planet Fitness has a smart phone app.
