Pros

- As a developer, you get to work on the full stack (database, server side and front-end), so you experience with a breadth of areas ... though this has a side effect that I listed in the cons section. - Projects come in, gets coded, and shipped at a pretty quick pace.

Cons

- The side effect is that you won't get that in-depth software engineering mentoring and experience that you aspire for as a developer. This is due to the absence of a strong background in computer science theory and practice within the company. Many technical staff I came to know while working there were holding 2-year degrees from CEGEPS (aka: community college). - Below market compensation. $40k salaries (~$20 an hour) is definitely not something to settle for. - Slim benefits package and insurance coverage - Very high turnover. People either resign, or get fired.

Pros

- Smal company to start with, nice stack of technologies ( css, javascript, pl-sql, java used the simple way, maps technologies ). - Employee events - Some interesting projects - Small company so there is not bigger hierarchy - They really care of documenting projects

Cons

- As employee, they will try to brainwash you so you believe that they are the most wonderful company of the universe -There is so much hype with this company: it is a medium common company, with average benefits and average salary, but the owner and his partners and old employees will be try to brainwash you telling you that others companies are worst, that there will be so many great projects to come, that the company '' is growing '' etc etc so you stay there with same average benefits. - Also as new employee, they will try to convince you that you are the most important asset ( actually, they don't care at all) - Technologically speaking, all they do as development is web databse projects with some mapping features, and that's all. They are divided in two departments: the guys that they consider the best and the others. The best are actually working in client projects and the other are in the freezer doing no matter what waiting from some participation in a project. - Most of they income come from reselling mapping software from they partners, so it is not much developing projects. - So many employees turnover

Pros

They use up to date technologies and emphasize good practices. Interesting projects with interesting people. Technically people are awesome, and that is one GOOD place to learn. Cool events. I learned a lot and met awesome people there.

Cons

Too much work however the Money is less than average if compared to the market. Insurance is very basic, i could not do much with it. The main problem there is the management mentality, it is kind of old fashioned way to manage people that made me feel i was working in a factory/call center not in an IT company in 2017. They do not listen unless you are not one of the old employees (you need to stay at least 10 years to get heard) If you plan to stay there for too long, the risk of getting fired is very very high, especially if you ask for more money.
