Pros

Most of the people you get to work with are amazing, kind, and extremely talented.

Cons

People of color, LGBTQA+, and women: this is not a safe place for you to work. Women are actively held back from promotions / raises and are constantly ignored. Management is homophobic. Hiring practices make workplace diversity nearly impossible to improve. Do not talk to HR for any reason. They are not there to safeguard your workspace. They only serve to protect management and Kount as a whole. This place is awful. They take full advantage of Idaho's right to work policy.

Company has poor business practices

Pros

Benefits are ok for tech standards

Cons

It says a lot about a company that doesn't empower or promote women, withholds commissions once an employee leaves (commissions only get paid 45 DAYS after the quarter ends), and lets their top performers go (turn over rate is HIGH here). They try to create culture by providing lunch and donuts but culture goes beyond that and Kount lacks it. The sales team plays golf all day instead of working to close deals and unless you are LDS you're probably not going to get hired or promoted. There are a ton of sexist men in upper management that make sexiest remarks toward and about female employees and HR does not do anything about it.

Pros

Cool problems space, interesting tech, some really talented developers.

Cons

There is a lack of ethics in their leadership. Lots of women have been pushed out of the company with NDAs in really shady circumstances. C-level employees make sexist jokes like "must be her time of the month" to mock female colleagues. HR was known to retaliate for things as small as suggesting we could do a better job of diversity recruitment. Leadership also includes COVID deniers and employees who misused sensitive data. Hopefully the acquisition will introduce new HR oversite and stop some of the abuse.
