Pros

I left L Marks to start my own business. My time there was awesome. The team was literally just like a productive friend group, in the best way possible. If I could go back before I was hired, I'd still tell myself to take this job. If you're considering a job at L Marks, I'd suggest that you try to meet with as many members of the team that you can. They're awesome.

Cons

I worked ~99% online, from my hometown (not in London). That was ideal for me, but I can see how that might not be ideal for many people.

Pros

I had a fantastic time at L Marks. I was involved in some really interesting projects and can point to all the things that I made happen. The management is so supportive and helping me do my job. They work really hard to give our clients the best experience and results. But equally work really hard for the employees. There is an amazing work/life balance that I now miss in my new job. I didn’t realise how good it was until I left. They are very flexible in when and how we work, as long as we do a good job and deliver to their clients

Cons

L Marks is still a relatively small company so you end up getting involved in lots of different projects. This is not the right job for someone who just wants to do one thing and rely on other teams for everything else. The pay is average but they do give very generous bonuses if you do a good job.

Great Team. High Employee Turnover and Low Pay

Pros

L Marks' key benefit is the team. The team is proactive and everyone is keen to learn. The onboarding of staff is very good and you are made to feel very welcome. There is a very high level of autonomy to take ownership of your projects.

Cons

Internal Resource Planning - As a PM I was managing a client account but over the course of a year I was increasingly involved in 2-3 different programs due to a lack of resource. Unfortunately due to a high employee turnover rate due to low wages, the rest of the team had to pick up the slack. This is ultimately why I left also. High Employee Turnover - By the time I left the business most of my team had also changed. Almost all of my team members left due to low pay so it become demoralising staying at L Marks when you were asked to cover more and more programs without any more money attached. Lack of Clear Strategy - I attended three annual review sessions over my year at L Marks and the strategy changed significantly every time. It would be better to have clear communication from leadership on why the decisions were made and who made them as we never were given justifications. Low Wages - Like most of my other colleagues that left L Marks, I was attracted to a much higher salary. It's a shame as the team and job were truly enjoyable. I truly believe that if L Marks shakes up management and increases its wages, it truly has a great future!
