Pros

- Good team of people -Benefits are mediocre -you get an extended wallet for health insurance starting at 1000 dollars and goes up from there depending on your need and your negotiation skills. Means you pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed for the costs . Once you use your wallet up though you have to pay everything out of pocket so it would really suck if you are unhealthy and are sick - long term. -A good hit (hempire) it is an old game , over 5 yrs old now . - they are ambitious -they have a bunch of Canadian awards about workplace even though i feel like that was all a lie and just for good PR . not really a positive .

Cons

-LBC Studios (Langley British Columbia ) that's what the studio brand means . Which is a weird way to brand a game studio . -lack of leadership -lack of training for inexperienced employees - salary isn't as competitive as it should be - They don't really have there own identity (policies ) they just stick with what the basic rules are in the province for salary raises, and severance checks . The bare minimum . - Lack of overall identity of the studio . The upper management really lacks any sort of experience running a game studio . They are also not overly passionate about tech / or games . Its more of a studio where they believe it can get rich quick . -Hempire is the only successful title that was mainly all outsourced . -No in house successes yet. - Lack of vision for the brand of the studio holistically . -Need leaders with years of gaming experience . -Listen to your employees more . - People at the studio have rose colored glasses on when it comes to how things are going . Most of all the reviews are pretty fake . - Oh yea never worked at a studio where literally half your or more of your sprint consists of days/hours of meetings for everyone . I think most meetings should just be between leads . - They believe in collaborating as a team , which is all good and fun but its beneficial to be inspired vs collab on art for example to many cooks in the kitchen make it a mess. -Leadership needs a AD or Creative Director to make things more on brand. -Burnout is real at this studio .

Pros

Excellent work/life balance, great office and facilities, determined management and multi-talented team. High quality game demands attention from the entire team, and management has done a great job of building that.

Cons

Occasionally experiences hurdles that come along with standard growing pains
