Pros

Flexible schedule was the only positive.

Cons

The work was too stressful and way too much for any one person. It is unrealistic.

Pros

Working to help kids improve their reading skills is great. The administration is very supportive and the hours have some flexibility.

Cons

The compensation is not as good as working at a public school.

Pros

LDA Minnesota is a great place to work as a teacher part-time. LDA staff and teachers work collaboratively. Paid training and materials to use with students are provided. Documentation of student learning plans and progress is reasonable to complete and is not overly burdensome. Students I've worked with are polite, interested in advancing their skills, and have real needs to improve their skills

Cons

Teaching opportunities are generally part-time so one may need to combine work for LDA with other opportunities.
