Some good people, money is decent

Cons

Where do I start about management. Senior Management are running the place into the ground. Some other less senior managers favour bullying, micromanaging, constant delegation of their own jobs to others and 'selective memory' to name but a few of their tactics. Good people leave and absolutely nothing is done to try to keep them. I left a few years ago and would never go back.

Working in the laboratory is great, people have been here for a lot of years and there is a reason, not a lot of turnover, Unionised work for lab responsibilities, pay scales and raises, benefits... Working hours are good and fairly flexible. Pension contribution since you start, not after probation period, health insurance, a lot of schemes you can take advantage of.

Cons

Out of the 22 days of holidays to start, 13/14 are chosen by the company for summer and Christmas shutdown so it does not leave you a lot to work with. Not too much career progression.
