Worst company to work for

Pros

Long drawn out hours with no recognition

Cons

Worst management in any restaurant industry I have ever been a part of. No value on the people they employee and no regard for anything other than bottom line and Jordan's horrible recipes. Absolute disgrace to work for.

Pros

Appears to be a stable company and pay is below average but always paid on time. Most of restaurant staff appear to be knowledgeable and very friendly

Cons

Executive staff lacking actual management and people skills. Appear to care about nothing but bottom line dollar, more so than their customers or staff.

LGO Hospitality Response
7y
The recently posted review by a prior employee begs for a response as the narrative of the review is grossly misrepresenting a period of employment which, following every attempt to align positively, unfortunately for all involved concluded abruptly. At LGO we engage in emotionally mature relationships with all team members, committed to a partnership that is transparent & thoughtful. Setting the record straight; we embrace life-balance and an empowered culture, management teams determine their hours, flexing to the business needs and ebb and flow of the hospitality world. In the case of this employee, we extended multiple accommodations including advanced paid time off, two financial loans were extended to support and alleviate the financial stress this team member had expressed he was under, (neither note has been paid back), flexible hours and work days and an open door of communication. Our team members are passionate, driven and committed. We are aware the elevated standards we aspire to daily within our community may not be the right fit for a few, however we do wish those which determine this to be the case, the most success in their future journeys. Pros

LGO Grocery - PHX, AZ - The retail girls that trained me (hourly employees) were super helpful and nice (if you have restaurant experience and can catch on quickly like I did). The job also doesn't require a ton of effort on your part...but that also means overall customer service is SERIOUSLY lacking. If you come from a highly customer oriented/fine dining background you definitely won't like the lack of work ethic/culture here.

Cons

LGO Grocery - PHX, AZ - Managers barely said five words to me throughout my 5 (absolutely unnecessary/overkill) "training" shifts. Also, to me, it felt a bit like slave labor. They expect you to work 7-8 hour shifts only (which is weird for this type of establishment...surely they should give out more 4-5 hour shifts considering their employee demographic and pay rate) without ANY breaks. You do ALL of the dirty work (including taking out what seems like a million trash bins all day long...by yourself, five-ten minutes walk from the back of the building, across a busy street in a creepy/dark alley...plus bathroom cleaning) and there were A TON of health code violations that I saw within my 1st week of working there (disturbing for such an expensive, high-end place). Management just doesn't seem to care about basic human rights and that trickles down to hourly employees, which in turn trickles down to the customer experience (just read through some yelp reviews...awful customer service...and I'm not surprised given the lack of culture/integrity of how this place is managed).
