Pros

Good people at the time I worked there.

Cons

No growth, unless the CEO and Managing Partner like you. Some people received a few promotions in a really short time span while others who worked there longer and just as hard received no promotions. Favoritism at its worst. The CEO still believes direct mail to be an effective form of marketing (mind you it's the 21st century). If you like production type of work, this is your dream job.

Pros

Lift is one of the best creative shops in town and my favorite to work for! I worked contract and full time with them for over 6+ years. First, this gem of an agency has an amazing client roster! Really diverse, so whether you're in creative or account, you are always building great work for your portfolio here. While I was here, I had the opportunity to work on health & beauty clients, entertainment, tech, and consumer retail. I came away with great work I'm really proud to share. This is in no small part due to the amazing talent the founder and CEO has assembled. Good, hardworking people who you can trust to bring out the best in everyone. And they are fun! I made lifelong friendships here, too. This agency does a great job of maximizing results for clients (which explains why so many stay for so long) and putting out a great creative product. I would work here again in a heartbeat.

Cons

None really. Agency life isn't for everyone, because agencies tend to be held to a higher standard than in-house talent, you really have to develop confidence in your own work and be very diplomatic accepting client feedback. Honestly, all this is very good practice for young professionals starting out, so I recommend giving it a try!

Senior management makes LIFT a hard place to work

Pros

Overall, LIFT employees are kind, welcoming, and close-knit. Great work-life balance.

Cons

Senior managers can be very dismissive and passive aggressive. Senior management can be very unprofessional. For example, openly discussing potential employee terminations while socializing in the kitchen. There's no room for advancement. Projects/clients are rather dull.
