Pros

Great work-life balance. Great health insurance. Unlimited sick days. 75% of public transportation commuting costs are covered.

Cons

Incompetent management. You aren't promoted on the basis of your abilities or accomplishments, but only on politics. Salary differentials are ridiculous, even between people with the same title within a department. Management is very hypocritical with everything from projects to lunch breaks. For example, my manager would take hours out of the day to watch the World Cup and weeks later ream me out for taking an extra half hour for lunch on just one occasion.

Pros

Some talented people and rarely needed to work long hours.

Cons

I'll be concise: 1. Pay is really low 2. Limited career growth 3. Not enough focus on sales. New clients are hard to come by. 4. Nepotism is rampant at the top. 5. Hypocritical management 6. No real leaders. We all know leadership when we see it....it's not here. 7. Poor resource allocation I could provide many examples for each above, but I'll just provide one and you can take my word on the rest. I overheard one of the managing partners on the phone with a potential hire (a developer) and he was trying to convince him to join the agency. They talked him down on salary saying that he couldn't get more than his ask anywhere else. Eventually, he convinced the person to come on board. After the call, the managing partner was overtly gloating about how he masterfully tricked the guy down into a lower than average salary. He was so giddy afterward and proud of himself as he bragged to one of the directors. I will quote, "Winner, winner, chicken dinner!"Yes, he said that as he glided through the office so proud of himself. This is not something you want to hear from your leadership. I don't need to go into why. The incident happened a few years ago and this person still there. Work here at your own risk. Culture eats talent for dinner, and this is a case study in what not to do.
