Pros

As an intern with LRT Sports, I was pushed into learning different skills and traits about myself I didn’t know that I had. I was put out of my comfort zone many times but always knew that the staff was there for me to lean on and that I was never alone

Cons

None. Great group of interns and staff. You will need some self motivation and drive

Pros

Working at LRT Sports has been nothing but a positive experience. I have learned very valuable tranferrable skills that i have spoke on in interviews and have put on my resume. The environment is fun and collaborative. I also have made connections and networked with student athlets across the country. I started as a intern and then stayed on board after that was over. They give you the freedom and chance to grow and learn.

Cons

The internship is a remote position, which is nice because it is way more felxible, but sometimes having in person contact is preferred. Regardless, the staff does a great job in making the internship very proactive and involved even though it is remote.

Pros

I was able to grow with LRT Sports from being an intern to running and growing a department that played a crucial role in helping to grow the business. Keirsten and Tara constantly challenged me to step out of my safe zone. The ’open door’ policy allowed me to feel comfortable enough to bring my ideas to the table and develop a plan. I am fortunate to have earned my role and work with such a caring team. The nature of the job also allows people to meet lifelong friends and to network with individuals I may have never crossed paths with.

Cons

I don’t have any. Depending on the type of person you are, the remote aspect of the job can be challenging, but it is effective. You have to be motivated and disciplined enough to set a schedule for your self and get the most out of your time.
