Pros

-IF your location can can get to a certain volume level you have the potential to make some money. It’s all based on the volume. -managing your own time -I enjoy many of the workers, but be prepared for the opposite extreme at times. -the majority of the people at the branch level and at corporate are amazing people. -the company was so much better years ago.

Cons

-New district management is terrible, uses fear to attempt to drive behavior, not sales driven, manipulative, seems Like a used car salesman who can’t sell. Very much a “yes sir” person and expects the same from his subordinates, ideas are not welcomed, critiques are punished. I have never seen someone destroy a positive culture in as little time as this person. 4 of the 5 branch managers are actively job searching And most just started within a few months. -At a corporate level they seem lost and unwilling to see it. Marketing (what little there is, produced by a third party company) is not effective and the dollars that are there are mis-allocated by a third party agency. There doesn’t seem to be a priority or initiative toward top line or bottom line growth, and what initiatives are presented are done so short term and with desperation. -Almost zero recruitment tools. In order to bill we have to have to possess workers. Having only three outside venue options to post on (indeed, Facebook, Craigslist) is cutting your nose off to spite your face. We are just opening the doors and hoping people will walk in off the street. -LW has become incredibly unstable over the last year. investments into a long term failing market stunted a focus on top line growth within the rest of the company, And facing a 40%-50% loss over LY on overall revenue company wide is the result. What could have been invested to help the rest of the markets succeed and grow was diverted to a black hole. No investments, no local marketing campaigns, No lower margin approaches to potential high volume clients. Margin expectations are close to double what many of our competitors operate at, makes closing accounts incredibly non-competitive.

Pros

There are no pros at this company

Cons

Overworked, seriously, you are expected to take home the company cell phone on weekends and answer every phone (50 percent of calls consisted of temps asking where there money was and you have to answer every call no matter the time i.e 11pm) and staff every emergency job order. Even after all that care and effort, they question if you really worked your reported weekend hours. Benefits or should I say lack of benefits. Falsfying drug tests and constantly lying to customers about workers. You are paid less than the temporary labor force. For those who decide to stay with the company, I menternal employee leave due to lack of internal promotions within one year. And new hire leave within three weeks after realizing how much work and responsibilities you inherited for such low pay, and that you work criminals such as pedophile, drug addicts and hostile people. The only reason I stayed at Laborworks was due to my 5 minute commute until I landed my future job and proximity to other engagement I had.

Pros

Friendly coworkers - rewarding to help people find jobs that cannot find them for themselves -

Cons

Very low pay for what you deal with day to day. Constant stress in and outside of the job. The lowest amount of PTO I have ever seen a company provide (2 weeks ((10 days)) first & second year then slowly raises, most people don’t make it to their 2nd year) No work life balance (mon-fri, rotating Saturdays unless the manager has worked something out or favoritism has taken play. Additionally you are ‘on-call’ after your 4 hours Saturday. When you go over your 4 hours, you are reprimanded. Most individuals do not receive pay for work they perform on weekends) No support and no training (when you start struggling it is your fault, not the fact they never provided training). Wants to preach ‘team environment’ but in reality they have segregated offices and districts due to their culture. Most (not all) people executive team has put in District management rolls are morons who do not know how to perform basic job functions that SS, Sr.SS, OM or BSMs are required to learn. Even after ample time to learn these functions. Little to no recognition for successes. Massive micro-management from District Management level. Most (and I mean at least 98%) temps are visible drug addicts. There is so much more. I do not want to write a novel.
