Pros

- Product has a lot going for it and can be a great solution in the space if properly developed and supported. - There are still several great great people at this company.

Cons

- VC is slowly causing this company to fall out of the top quadrant for the sector. They are too invested to walk away now, which, in my opinion, is the only real solution to get the company back on track. - In less than a year, the VC group completely upended and changed the culture of this company from one of feeling more like family and dedicated people to the exact opposite; one where almost nobody works together or has anything good to say. This can change with new people post VC but this will take time that I don't think they have. - They have been going through senior leaders from the CTO down since the VC group came in. This constant change does nothing for employee morale or customer confidence.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We have certainly been through a lot of leadership change in the last 20 months, and this has stabilized now with our CEO Dave Keil, and throughout the executive team. We have an excellent product and vision for continued growth in 2023 and beyond. From a cultural perspective, we are putting employees and customers back at the heart of the business, and have made many significant changes to our total rewards package to motivate and align our team on these goals. If you would like to discuss your feedback any further, please reach out to me. - Suzie Anthony, Chief People Officer

Rotten from top to bottom

Pros

I met a handful of decent people and the software is pretty cool if you know how to use it.

Cons

This is a rotten organization from top to bottom. Lakeside suffers from two problems: 1. The character and quality of management is the worst I've ever encountered. They don't care about actually building a team or evolving. All they care about is selling licenses, whatever it takes. This is a private equity company that was purchased from the original owner and in my opinion has a limited shelf life. Their marketspace is quickly shrinking with key players like VMware entering it. It always felt like they were trying to push as much product out the door knowing that their clock was ticking. Some of the uppper management were the worst people I've ever worked with in terms of employee interactions and approach. They are known for burn-and-turn staff without warning. Knowing this, people have either left ahead of time or were unceremoniously fired on a whim. I believe it got so bad for some that they encountered medical issues because of their jobs. 2. The second big problem is the constant sense of dissatisfaction at lower levels. Morale is pitiful. It felt like few actually cared about their jobs or delivering what was reasonably expected. The skill level among technical staff varied from excellent to barely there. This was and probably is a terrible place to work. Steer clear.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. We agree that our software is “pretty cool!” Lakeside is led by a seasoned leadership team and backed by one of the top VC firms in the world. Over the past year, we've continued to innovate and differentiate ourselves in the market through our depth, breadth, and history of data. We've also invested in several people-focused initiatives, which has led to higher employee retention and a stronger #LakeLife culture. Feel free to reach out directly if you’d like to discuss your experience further. - Suzie Anthony, Chief People Officer

Pros

None that come to mind

Cons

The leadership team is clueless, and no one has any idea what's going on. The company is not selling much product, and we are missing a lot of goals. They set unrealistic expectations as well. Will be looking for a new job.
