      Toxic work environment

      Pros

      Freedom of creativity within the classroom as long as you still follow the curriculum. You have an aide the first half of the day to help with student academics and behavior.

      Cons

      Low pay. Very toxic work environment. There is SO much gossip! A lot of secrecy from admin and told to keep certain things hush hush. Student behavior is awful and you get no support.

      The people are great. There is some creativity with curriculum and how you teach.

      Cons

      Expectations are unclear and increase from year to year. To do the job well, you must work far beyond contract hours. Not great work-life balance.
