Pros

Flexibility of hours, accrual of PTO

Cons

Management, staff, unintuitive computer system/electronic medical record. Management only cares about profit, over works their employees, and passive aggressively punishes them when they take days off. I have seen several staff get fired for no real reason or for something that happened months or even years prior. This says to me that when Lakeview has a justifiable reason to fire someone that they hang on to and use when that staff member is no longer wanted. No real direction is ever given by management. Directors typically have zero clue of what is actually going on with the clientele. Also have I mentioned the pay? WOW it is shocking how little Lakeview pays its staff. Lakeview offers no tuition reimbursement, and the insurance options are horrible. I have never seen such a revolving door of employees in and out of a company before. A lot of my co-workers have more than one job because Lakeview does not pay enough to survive on. It is not worth the emotional drain to then have to work more than one job.

Pros

Many people who work there are just nice people (though some are not). It is one of the few organizations in the Pensacola area with openings, and the benefits are very good.

Cons

I would steer clear of this organization. Though they have a noble mission, and most of their employees are respectful, there are some who are downright hostile. They yell, withhold information, refuse to do what is asked and purposefully find ways to decrease productivity. This creates a very uncomfortable work environment. Jobs in the Pensacola area are hard to find, so people will tolerate so much more than they would in an economically sound region. If you don't mind yelling, hostility and the lack of leadership, you would be fine there.

Pros

My unit specifically was very helpful. Can be fulfilling working with children and families. Pay was better comparatively.

Cons

The work life balance is atrocious. They say they want you to practice self care and boundaries, but if you have a kid waiting on placement, suck it up because you'll be there all night. Most stressful job I've ever encountered.
