Pros

Land Academy rents an office space that provides daily breakfast, snacks, and coffee. The comradery between the office staff is awesome, everyone is welcoming and friendly.

Cons

Land Academy does not have good leadership. The owner of the company will be disrespectful toward you. Leadership (owners) do not believe in coaching or training. They will not pay you more if you're promoted (very little room for growth).

Pros

A learning experience. If you want to learn how not to run a business, this place is a goldmine of examples. There is so much wrong with the company dynamic that you can find endless opportunities to suggest improvements, if they ever listen. That's a plus.

Cons

Management exhibits a lack of basic professional skills, frequently resorting to micromanagement and attributing their own mistakes to their employees. Despite being hired for their expertise, employees find no opportunity for creativity or autonomy, as trust in their abilities is absent from owners. The workplace culture is toxic, characterized by constant gossip and backstabbing, with little respect for employees' time and contributions. Issues were neglected by the owners until new leadership was brought in to terminate many staff members. Unprofessionally dictated and blamed for the culture. Despite promises of healthcare upon hiring, the company repeatedly changed its stance. Employee turnover is alarmingly high, with new faces appearing weekly, indicating widespread dissatisfaction. Deadlines are often unrealistic, and the overwhelming workload leads to high stress and burnout, with no consideration for the time and effort required to complete tasks properly or for sustainable business practices. Numerous instances of unprofessional behavior have occurred, including public reprimands and inappropriate comments from the owners. New employees receive inadequate training and little support from the owners, who rarely recognize or appreciate hard work and achievements. When recognition does occur, it is insincere and inconsistent. Additionally, they repeatedly fire employees with less than a month of time on the job, for personality differences or poor reasons that offer no logic or reason to support. The owners also consistently ignore employee feedback and fail to address the numerous issues raised. Despite showcasing data and numbers on month over month progress, the only focus remains on minimizing payroll numbers. Management/owners repeatedly use employees for a 90-day period, pulling projects and tasks out at an inefficient rate, and releasing at the end of that time. This keeps payroll low and blame cyclical.

Pros

Friendly coworkers, collaborative opportunities on projects, builds character, and pizza parties.

Cons

No benefits, no trust, family-owned company polluted by nepotism, poor management where co-owners pivot between CEO title back and forth every 3-4 months to undermine the other's accomplishments.
