Pros

- Language Tree pays salaries on time. - Language Tree SOMETIMES helps with teaching aids and materials. - Language tree MIGHT help if you run into trouble at your school. - They SOMETIMES give you the option to choose to work either for a kindergarten or primary school.

Cons

- Language Tree is an agency, therefore they take a BIG cut from your salary. The schools actually pay way more than what they actually pay you. And language tree is NOT transparent about this. They do not tell the school how much they pay you, and they also do not tell you how much the school pays them. Always make sure to ask. - Language Tree does not pay for the two months summer holiday because of the deal they make with the school, which is to pay them more during the school term so that they can make their profit and so that the school then does not have to pay when you are on holiday. - Language Tree also takes their time to assist when you need books or worksheet ideas, they will tell you to wait. - They only send a person to assess you lessons once a year, she will watch your lesson for about 5 minutes and then go on her cellphone for the rest of the time. - The responsibilities at the schools they place you in also differ so sometimes you will have more or fewer responsibilities but your salary will be the same. - It does not matter if you are a good teacher or if you work hard for them for a year, for the next year or even the year after that, they will not raise your salary, ever. - And during the 2 months NO PAY summer break they also do not offer any other income jobs, no tutoring, or online classes, nothing to compensate. - To summarize they are only profit driven, they have many teachers and too little schools, so not much of a choice. They take huge amounts of your salary for commission without being transparent about it. In general as long as you are placed in a school and making money for them they do not really care. They also do not advise you properly in terms of your long term goals, they will just place you wherever. They do not have their teachers best interests at heart.

Pros

You have lots of support to get your teaching materials, arrange supplementary classes, and training. Managing team is friendly and will try their best to put you in a school you like.

Cons

You are only paid 10 months out of the year. Salary for summer months are not included. During your working hour, if there are "extra" classes outside of your normal teaching schedule, you must do it for essentially free because it's still considered as part of your working hours. Therefore, your lunch time is essentially another hour of teaching.

Pros

There is no pros, they all pretend to be friendly and cares about you but in reality, all they care about is their cut of your salary

Cons

The company is full of liers and manipulators who only cares about themselves and will exploit you in every way possible. Do not work for them even at your most desperate times
