Pros

you meet great guests and have nice talks

Cons

Ive been here for 2 years. you do not get raises and company is constantly changing things. when i started, only 1 person/store could make more than minimum wage but only a dollar more, no higher and only if they take on the task of inventory, collecting the monthly deposits, making sure they are right for Dunbar, dealing with employees who dont want to do their job, listen to people complain about their schedule when you do it, be obligated to fill in and answer calls on your days off, ect. whats worse is as of 2017 they are eliminating the lead position so now no regular employee that enters the company can get more than minimum wage. Not allowed to decorate for any holidays, however chinese new year was allowed to be acknowledged by putting up decorations.tips are awful and company shows 0 appreciation for the people who sacrifice 10 hours out of their day from family. they use the excuse that the job is easy so they shouldn't pay us more. i see it as me leaving my family for 10 hours just to bring home a 2 week paycheck that may get me through the week if im lucky. and as for getting a second job, a little hard when the shift goes from 7:30am to 5:30pm and most jobs in afternoons want you there by 3 or 4. so despite my attempt to get a better job i fall short every time. not a good place to work if you have children, rent and bills. great if you are in school living with parents and need a job.

Pros

The work is fairly easy, Downtime can be used to complete homework, good part time job but dont get too invested, mostly great customers

Cons

So many, there is no organization with this company, they are NOT loyal to their employees, very unprofessional, coworkers skip work with no warning so you may end up working more than what you bargained for, the tips are not consistently good, some customers can be a handful. If i could give 0 stars it would be more accurate of a rating

Laredo Hospitality Response

Thank you for the review. We work very hard to maintain loyalty with our staff and actually have an abundance of leaders that have grown with the company over the past 5-years, and many hourly employees who have been with us just as long. However, I know that is not the experience for everyone and I am sorry you feel there are so many cons with the company. If it wasn't said to you before, we do appreciate that you helped to cover when coworkers skipped out. Best of luck to you. - Thanks
