At first, it seems like a great opportunity to make a difference with a growing company

Cons

Do not ever work here! I promise you that, even if it now seems like a decent job, and it seems like you can overcome some management issues and work through it and just focus on your job, you can not. The people that no longer work there were not bad employees with issues or negative attitudes. They left because they were treated terribly, yelled at repeatedly, and not paid. I promise you that, if you are now being told anything different that what I am saying, you are being told a lie. Good people with good values were treated like they were idiots. Please do not accept a job with this company.

Laser Photonics Response

The company you describe no longer exists. The 40-year old brand was purchased and a new company replaced the old one. Today the company is booming and has gone from $0 to $3.4M in sales in 2020. I have been here for six months and have been able to name my own ticket. I have never been yelled at and all here are happy with their jobs and with the direction the company is headed.

They have a Keurig, but you have to bring your own K cups. I would say that is about as good as it gets.

Cons

Let’s just talk about the basics, paychecks. At first my paychecks were consistent and then they slowly started withholding a week, not giving out paychecks on payday, to eventually letting your account become inundated with overdraft fees because the paycheck bounced. You cannot even attempt to go into the owner/CEO/CTO and ask for another paycheck or to be reimbursed because you will only be belittled and spoken to as if it is your fault that the paychecks, he signed, bounced.

Technology is proven. Workers are genuine in their passion and experience for what they do. Many big name clients and prospects.

Cons

Not getting paid, language barriers, unrealistic working expectations, ethical questions. The carrot that is dangled in front of you for motivation is not going to be achieved because you will never get the tools to complete them.

Laser Photonics Response

With the new Laser Photonics, it couldn't be more different. The company changed hands in December 2019. I started here in October 2020. We follow a plan, and our trajectory will put us in the lead in the industrial laser equipment field. I see the products we can produce and the potential markets and so, I have become an evangelist for the company.
