Fast-paced, multi-disciplinary engineering firm
Pros
Bureaucracy does not exist at this company. Projects are challenging, workload is constantly changing. Casual dress code and extremely flexible hours. Management is willing to tweak jobs as needed to match employees with the skills they are good at rather than forcing square pegs into round holes. Personal/side projects are encouraged so employees get experience on available fabrication equipment. Everyone is multi-disciplinary so it's a great place to learn new skills and gain experience.
Cons
If you can't self-manage, or ask for help when you're lost, you'll get frustrated quickly. Building is messy. There is no set structure for advancement or raises so employees need to take all of the initiative. Large employee turnover for production staff.
