Pros

- Incredibly flexible working hours (normally from 10am to 11pm EST) - Supportive and Responsive Shift Monitors. - An open and transparent channel of communication between teachers and some other staff. - Opportunities for growth are available for standout teachers. - Senior Management is very responsive and accepting of teacher inputs. - Pay is decent and on-time

Cons

- Lack of a Bonus System based on performance, only driven by specific demand. - Classes may get repetitive at times (multiple equal classes in a row). - Sometimes, having to teach an entire 2h black poses some restrictions (ex. I've had to give up a shift because I was only available for 1 of 2h and could not commit to teaching it entirely).

We are sorry to read that you had a bad experience teaching with us. We are committed to paying teachers on time. You were probably getting paid via international wire transfers, a payment method that we stopped supporting a few months ago precisely because it presented issues with some banks and countries. Since then, we have increased the payment options that we support.

Pros

Somewhat flexible Work from home Cute kids

Cons

The pay is insulting! It works out to less than $10 an hour. Chinese companies pay over double this rate. Late pay. They are constantly changing (lowering) pay rates. Changing rules about raises, clicking ridiculous buttons, procedures. Not teacher friendly. Overall, poorly run ESL program. If you are looking to to teach ESL at home, look to one of the Chinese companies where pay is at least double. RUN AWAY FROM LATINHIRE!
