      Golden Opportunity Missed

      Pros

      Great people, smart, decent, hardworking and very helpful. Opportunity to learn from the best in the industry.

      Cons

      Horrible managers, who has no idea how to manage and develop talents, and without any leadership qualities that inspire and encourage. Poor strategy and direction, was one of the first data analytic company but lost its way and was overtaken. now put out to pasture for a protracted demise.

      Pros

      The company has a decent product (from industry knowledge and data science perspective). There is a free lunch every Friday and the salaries are quite competitive. They often let people work from home.

      Cons

      The biggest problem of this company is it's CEO and several other senior executives. Having almost no competitors they focused so much on the bottom-line numbers that as a result almost destroyed an engineering organization altogether. As it was not enough the attention to details and understanding of the business processes is also something CEO is not particularly fond of. This company could have make it big if they only removed consultants from engineering and put a knowledgeable CEO in place.

Indeed, we have discussed Glassdoor at monthly company meetings - our invitation to employees to post on Glassdoor is part of an effort to become more transparent and open to feedback. In addition, we have an annual company survey, we hold townhall meetings, and we have suggestion boxes in each office. We act upon suggestions and feedback to the extent that we are able - but we're not perfect. If you weren't able to speak up at a recent townhall meeting, please offer some solutions to the things you feel can be improved. Come visit HR, slip an anonymous note in the suggestion box, walk into our CEO's office -- we are very open to hearing feedback + solutions. We are a startup; we are a team. We appreciate your hard work and loyalty to Lattice!

      Bad management has destroyed great potential

      - Great talented people - Interesting work in a growing field (machine learning)

      Cons

      - Upper management doesn't know how to run a technology company - Low salary, even when compared to early stage startups - Hyped-up bonus ends up amounting to nearly nothing - Very limited growth opportunity - Widespread negative outlook on the company's future
