Pros
This is a great place to gain solid marketing experience across a wide variety of industries and strategies/tactics (including email marketing, event planning, marketing automation, website development, advertising, collateral development, and more). There are plenty of opportunities to lead and drive projects on your own, even for more junior members of the team. Taking ownership of projects is encouraged as well as continued marketing education through webinars, conferences, classes etc.
The team is very hard-working and dedicated which lends itself to a heads-down and focused environment, however everyone is friendly and knows how to have fun. Christa, the CEO, encourages team-building through team outings, workshops, holiday events etc. and looks for ways to make the internal team meetings fun and engaging.
Cons
There are often tight deadlines to meet, large workloads and project parameters that change quickly. This is very normal and to be expected in this industry, although it does require upfront and detailed planning along with the ability to be flexible and maintain a positive attitude when working through these challenges with other team-members and clients. However, Christa is very aware of how these things can be stressful/trying on the team and encourages employees to speak up and ask for help with workload or other challenges become too difficult.
