Pros

Good employee benefits, remote work.

Cons

Agree on everything the previous reviewer has posted, although I would like to add some details. To me it seems that company is undergoing a digital transformation, which, as previously stated was neccesary as locally a lot of manual workarounds and ineffective legacy systems exist, requiring a substantial amount of manual labor. However, this digital transformation in terms of change management is not ideal in my opinion. Communication from HQ is vague, leaving space for alot of confusion and wasted work on local innovation projects that become rendered by the centralized strategy. When such happens, no good accountability systems are in place, everyone is pointing fingers at HQ and nobody seems to understand what is happening. Tools are introduced mainly formally without adequate explanations of what it would mean at the time of implementation, creating stress and misalignments in the workforce. These misalignments are to be absorbed by the most vulnerable employees due to the information system, which concentrated knowledge at the management level, leaving employees to guess whats next.

A Promising Start That Quickly Fell Apart

Pros

The company has a strong global brand.

Cons

My experience at Lavazza started reasonably well, and the need for growth and modernisation was clear from day one. Unfortunately, things deteriorated rapidly. Increasing pressure from Italy combined with a lack of competence within the UK management team created constant delays, confusion, and misalignment across projects. There was very little preparation, no meaningful support, and a surprising absence of useful tools or reliable reporting. Instead of adapting or adopting new methods, management insisted on using outdated reporting practices even though the knowledge and capability to maintain them had already been lost. This closed‑minded approach made progress unnecessarily difficult and slowed down every initiative. Overall, the environment became frustrating and inefficient, with poor communication and a leadership style that resisted change rather than enabling it.
