Cons

Working at this hotel has been a challenging experience, especially for fresh graduates. New employees often get overloaded with tasks and are expected to learn everything within one week. Leadership needs improvement; directors can be quite rude to staff and sometimes even yell at them in public for mistakes. Unfortunately, micromanaging however is considered normal in this hotel. There’s a clear bias towards higher-ups, leading to different treatment based on rank. As long as you bring in business and meet the budgets and forecasts targets, management doesn’t seem to care about how you treat others or your work style. Salaries are another issue, often being lowballed, especially if you lack direct hospitality experience, regardless of a relevant experience or education background. The dress code for admin staff is strict – you have to wear skirt ALL THE TIME and you are NOT ALLOWED to wear pants AT ALL and you will need to purchase pantyhose at your own cost and can’t have brightly colored hair (even light brown), unlike higher-ranking employees (only directors/managers can highlight their hair and bleach it too but not those who are in low rank). These rules seem outdated compared to other hotels. One of the hotel core values are chic. Does that reflected chic realism? That's pure discrimination. If you value yourself, consider looking for a job elsewhere. This place isn’t for you unless you want to dig your own grave. Overall, it might be wise to get your own insurance policy because working here can affect your mental and physical health.
