Pros

I worked at The Lean Startup Company remotely PT during 2019. Overall, it was an amazing place to work with highly motivated employees. The leadership at the company goes above and beyond to support staff as needed. My only reason for leaving was fulfilling my own personal interest in a design and media related occupation. I enjoyed working here and still stay in touch with the company's employees!

Cons

Being able to handle and prioritize workload. Very typical startup concern but management has taken initiatives to gain employee feedback and make improvements.

Pros

- Team: Great team of passionate, hard working and smart people trying to grow the adoption of entrepreneurial management. We work hard, we have fun, and we get to make impact at a scale that is surprising given our size. - Clients: Our clients are fabulous. They are generally the early adopters, change-makers, and rebels of their organization trying to break the status quo and have disproportionate impact at their organizations. - Learning: We get to continue learn and teach adoption of Lean Startup across the world and in all sizes/types of organizations. At Lean Startup Co., I found my passion and the type of work I want to spend my career doing. It's bonus to be able to work with an amazing team and set of clients.

Cons

Typical challenges related to working at a startup that has a remote workforce: - Managing uncertainty (but that also makes it exciting) - Not getting to see people in person as one might like - Communication challenges that arise when a workforce is fully remote

Pros

Great senior leadership, they are invested in team growth both as a unit and as individuals. The culture we've created, and continue to cultivate as we grow, has turned a remote team into a family. I've been freelance my entire career and worked with many, many great clients -- but I always moved on. I love working with this team so much I didn't leave after my contract ended. The work we do matters. We get to play with some of the smartest people in the world trying to solve the worlds biggest problems. It's both immensely gratifying and humbling. I've never been challenged like this in my life and I'm enjoying flexing under-utilized muscles.

Cons

Because we're remote we don't get to see each other as often as we like. Because we're a remote team, if we're not on our communication game things can run amok.
