Pros

They are a digital first company with opportunities to work from home.

Cons

It's unbearable to hear the way they speak of employee experience design on webinars without taking into consideration their own people who dedicate themselves to the organization. It’s all a facade and I couldn't handle the hypocrisy any longer. I joined the company as a dedicated, passionate individual who works hard doing everything possible to contribute and help push the industry forward. After several attempts to get the support, resources, time, and attention that I needed to do great work for the company, I was ostracized and treated like a second-rate employee. It was not only shocking to me, but for fellow employees who then disengaged out of fear and have accepted the dysfunction as normal without having the courage to stand up and say something. An example, Leapgen sent out a yearly survey, which they actively preach against because “companies don’t act on the data.” After receiving honest feedback from employees, they buried the survey. No one saw the results, several of us asked many times when we would see them, and were brushed aside. It was shocking to observe, especially since LG actively tells their clients that it is the worst thing they could do. How the sales and marketing functions/teams at LG operate is comical. There is no strategy, no organization or processes, they use tools and systems that are half-baked and not integrated well, which result in bad data...marketing is constantly having to knee jerk react for tactical day-to-day ops things, and therefore never have time to actually create and execute strategies. The services side is not much better, they keep consultants' calendars overloaded with client work, are constantly rescheduling 1:1s, and ask consultants to work on the weekend. Many have experienced burnout without any reprieve. Instead of pausing to get the train on the tracks, be proactive and start planning for the future, they just…stay stuck in the same destructive patterns. It leads to teams pointing fingers, losing trust in each other, and losing respect for executives. The whole organization is just a toxic mess. I know the employer brand is nice and shiny, but I would encourage any applicants to reconsider working for Leapgen, it’d be disappointing for you to spend months of frustration just to discover the hypocrisy, be labeled as a detractor, and eventually leave with no career growth or marketable skills. My personal experience has been exactly opposite of what Leapgen professes to be through their LEAP values (Love, Energy, Audacity, Proof)

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your experience with Leapgen. We take feedback seriously as we manage growth and strive to drink our own champagne when it comes to people, culture, and workforce experience. Agree we could have done more to communicate post-survey results; we’ll be better at closing open feedback loops. Our all-company Leap Retreat was a direct response to feedback we heard loud and clear, which was the opportunity to deepen connections and relationships in person (optional, virtual available). We experience many of the growing pains a small business would expect, including developing strategy and acumen, operational excellence, and a cross-functional foundation on which to grow. We especially appreciate the grit and effort of team members who are building the plane as we fly it; no small feat. We’re committed to transparent, authentic leadership and communication, and we’ll continue listening to feedback that can help us improve. Again, we thank you for your insight and your service to Leapgen, and we wish you all the success in the future. Jason

Don't Drink the Leapgen Kool-Aid

Pros

There are many brilliant and amazing people working for Leapgen outside of executive leadership and management.

Cons

There is a massive lack of direction and support provided to employees and clear favoritism. Employees are told they are empowered, supported, cared for, and loved - yet, if someone shares any feedback, constructive criticism, what they feel are opportunities for improvement, and their ideas to enhance anything they are quickly silenced and most of the time retaliated against. This organization preaches many things they do not practice. There is blatant ego-driven leadership, manipulative gaslighting micromanagement, and beneath everything, the facade that is Leapgen is the truth and reality for many employees who experience a culture of fear, are treated in ways that make them feel as though they do not belong, and are not valued. Behind the curtain of smoke and mirrors are people who want to make a positive impact with their work, and ideas, and provide others care and support. Unfortunately, all of the amazing and talented people stuck behind the curtain are told to be quiet and to do as they are told, and if they are upset or disagree they are told they are wrong, alienated from others, or even written up, placed on probation, or simply fired. The rampant lack of trust creates uncertainty and truly a feeling of being unsafe.
