Pros

Leapsome pays well and offers good benefits. The New York office has plenty of snacks and there are team social events (99% of which revolve around drinking). There is the opportunity to travel from New York to Berlin or Berlin to New York.

Cons

Leapsome's cultural values are nothing more than words on a page that Leapsome does not carry out on a day-to-day basis. Leapsome claims to be a "people-first" company but fires people at will and does mass layoffs (50% of the NY office). The team in Berlin is dismissive and sometimes outright hostile to the New York team, the Berlin team is jealous that the New York team makes more money. If you're in New York and you need help from Berlin, be prepared to wait -- if help comes at all. The Berlin team roots for the New York team to fail. The team dynamic at Leapsome is really sad. Sales targets are routinely missed and fewer than 15% of reps are hitting quota. Leapsome routinely loses out to competitors on deals from point solutions like PerformYard or more established players that they were supposed to beat like Lattice and CultureAmp. Selling for a company that's supposed to be winning the market but is constantly losing is a major drag. The US expansion is turning out to be a complete failure.

Great team and sick office!

Cons

Title: "A Cautionary Tale: Deceptive Practices, Lack of Proficiency, and Fearful Atmosphere at Leapsome" My tenure at Leapsome was marred by a series of disheartening experiences that compel me to share a comprehensive review for the benefit of potential candidates. From the beginning, Leapsome's misleading practices were evident. Goals promised in the first quarter proved elusive, and the once-promised inclusive culture was a mere facade. The leadership, particularly in regard to understanding the North American market, displayed a shocking level of lack of proficiency that hindered the company's success. The hiring of a manager with a deficiency in communication skills only intensified the challenges. Poor communication and a lack of effective leadership led to a disarrayed team, further compounded by Leapsome's failure to provide adequate on-the-job training for their product. Expecting employees to navigate the product's nuances without proper guidance created unnecessary stress and hindered productivity. Adding to the turmoil was the unexplained firing of employees, creating an environment of fear and uncertainty. The unceremonious dismissals left employees walking on eggshells, afraid of their own shadows. In conclusion, Leapsome falls short in various aspects, from deceptive practices and a lack of proficiency in leadership to inadequate training and a fearful work environment. Prospective candidates should approach opportunities within this organization with caution, considering the outlined challenges that may compromise their professional experience and growth. P.S. Any positive review is referring to their office based in Germany. Their NY office is in shambles!!! Plz beware...

Pros

Great team, nice office, annual trip to berlin

Cons

HUGE employee turnover, practice the opposite of what they preach, never listen to employees, lied about promotion timelelines, fire people here and there with no clear reasoning, punish for complaining. OTE offer is a scam they make it intentionally unattainable so they can trap higher quality sales people
