Pros

Good health benefits that’s it.

Cons

Arrogant CEO who is always out to make himself look smart even though he has no clue how public schools actually work. The yes-men are promoted and you won’t find a woman or person of color in the in-group. Watch your back at this company. Don’t be smarter than the CEO or senior managers or push back on any of their ideas ever or you’ll have a target on your back. And be sure to read all of their self-published books - seriously, it’s required. The CEO is also rude and demeaning and pretentious. Anyone from a public education background will see through him and his company in 5 minutes. They have no business being in turnaround schools except exploiting their leadership coaches then taking all the credit for the work done on the ground.

Dear Toxic, It is unfortunate that several years ago, your employee experience did not meet your expectations and we apologize that you may have been misled by outdated misinformation, so once again I welcome the opportunity to speak with you. In the meantime, I will share the following updates: By the CEO’s own direction, LSI is a certified OFCCP compliant company and is audited annually by an independent federally registered third-party. Those audits are of public record and provides data that LSI’s workforce is comprised of 70% women with 75% of senior management positions held by women which includes the 2nd highest position next to the CEO. Data will also produce evidence that over the last couple of years, LSI has increased diversity in new hires by 41%. LSI established a diversity based focus and mentoring group that allows our diverse staff a voice as well as support for growth opportunities. 100% of all faculty coaches, school leadership coaches and district leads are required to have a minimum of 5 years in K-12 public education to be considered for employment. Over 75% of our current faculty hold post graduate degrees or higher. Employee engagement represent the levels of enthusiasm and connection employees have with their organization. It is a measure of how motivated people are to put in extra effort for their organization, and a sign of how committed they are to staying there. The national average of employee engagement score is 50, LSI recently scored 81 with their employees. I look forward to sharing our success' with you, Carol Thomas, Sr. Operations Manager – 561-421-1783 or cthomas@learningsciences.com
