Pros
There is a great sense of fulfillment and accomplishment at the end of the academic year, though that mostly comes from surviving the year more than actually accomplishing anything.
Cons
The compensation for any position at Lee University is lower across the board than the same position at any similar institution, but the work load is much higher. Inter-department relationships are non-existent, and departments seem to be competing with each other constantly to be the president's "favorite." The university claims to value excellence, but does not in any way promote or excellence in either employees or students except to demand it at all costs. Neither does the university make it easy to pursue excellence, from the way departments are set up, to the minuscule budget every non-athletic department is given to operate.
