Pros
Extra bonuses paid out by mistake. Bright future for retirees because of bare minimum expectations.
Cons
This is a company without any values or culture. Every year, all employees are expected to go through anti bribery and code of conduct and ethics. Yet top management does not have any ethics. Management can agree with you on all the conditions that you have spelled out, with paperwork signed and then try to back out to all the conditions at the very last minute when you resolve their problems. Over promise, never deliver. 1. Every department is a paperwork slave to Finance 2. Internal business management system created does not reflect proper check and balance 3. Non-performing sales can even tell HR that they do not read their emails 4. Old school HR management that have no relevance to employee experience, hire and fire model 5. Toxic colleagues that will tell you their best experience and practice, which usually ends up with them being a joke because you have tasted and seen better than their best 6. Every department is each man for itself, zero teamwork 7. Every manager’s and supervisor’s performance is unacceptable, zero accountability In general, only non-performers will stay on while the performers leave eventually as their compensation is at the lower end and any job out there is able to provide the financial sense for them to move on. I have my own HR team telling me oil and gas is different, when questioned what is different, are oil and gas employee human beings while the rest of industry are aliens? Not a single soul within the HR department was able to reply to my reckoning. This shows how shallow their critical thinking skills are. Company have reached the last stage of business cycle as they are only able to employ either foreigners without much working experience or have been unemployed for a very long time without getting picked up by the market. Any local employment hires lifespan ranges from 2 weeks to 1 year, either they detect the issues fast enough and get picked up by the market ASAP or stay on until the next resignation cycle to get picked up by other employers. Never take a risk with them thinking that it would be different this time, and end up shipwreck your career. Business horizon is sunsetting as long as management does not wake up from its slumber without realizing that the compass is no longer pointing north.
