Pros

The product. The product is user-friendly, and is very well received by our prospects. We are disrupting the legal space and the space is embracing change. I joined LegalSifter because of the Leadership team. The CEO and two others are colleagues I worked with 15 years ago at my first SaaS company. We cut our teeth together and I knew what to expect. My expectations are more than met every day. They are even better than I remember. Our CEO is driven, transparent, and balances well taking care of employees, customers and shareholders. He always rolls up his sleeves and pitches in. Our founding member is available to the team and explains the nuances of AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning) and NLP (Natural Language Processing) so well after every hour we spend with him I want to ditch the job and go back to school for a masters in the field. (Not happening) The best leader in the company is new to me. She runs our IT department and she and her team DELIVER as promised every single week. This is my first software company where delivery happens as scheduled. No drama. Working from home is encouraged. Fun team.

Cons

We have an open floor plan which is new to me, sometimes great. Miss my office. A few additional conference rooms would be great. Learning to keep my desk organized in this type of office setting. The 401(k) plan has great choices. We don't have a match yet. Benefits are at market.

Warning: Not a technologist friendly company

Pros

The CEO is a sales guy, so if you're a salesperson, you might love it!

Cons

The company culture is driven by the CEO who is a sales person. And, if you're a technical worker, my advice is "Warning: avoid at all costs" While I was there, there were extreme cases of lack of integrity. And if you're interacting with this company, I assure you that a handshake is not enough. That you need written, actionable, enforceable agreements no matter how small the promise. The technical work is slightly interesting, but many companies are doing websites or AI/ML. And many are doing it in Pittsburgh. Relatively speaking, this is poor choice for a technical worker in Pittsburgh.

Pros

4-10 work week. Fully remote for those not in the same state/city. Interesting concept. Diverse and interesting group.

Cons

Pay is awful. Zero training. C-suite manager wolf in sheep's clothing. Gives impression of kindness and concern. Not. At. All. Plays favorites, insults in front of team, AI is crap, it is absolutely the people who sift through the contracts. Don't let that fake "we are family" behavior fool you. It's like a weird cult. You go along to get along. Ask too many questions, PIPd
