Pros

Nice people, friendly atmosphere A good work/ life balance in comparison to other fintech for some departments- WFH is supported Tasty lunches tue/thur A lot of social events, including away days

Cons

Lendable encourages new employees to write reviews on glassdoor when they have just started and everything is rosy- therefore please be aware of potentially misleading reviews here. (Hence why you will see a lot of "haven't found any yet" in the cons section) Internal communication is a real issue and causes a lot of frustration. Many managers and department leads are not experienced in dealing with progression and people management. This can be disheartening. In order to progress, you will need to participate in socials and make friends with the relevant people- unfortunately, hard work does not often translate into progression or salary increases. Be prepared for Lendable to be where you work, and socialise if you want to progress. Resources are often taken away from the existing products that need improvements and put towards new products to satisfy stakeholders, rather than create better products/ more automation.

A tough place to grow, if you're human

Pros

- You’ll be given a lot of responsibility early on - Exposure to different parts of the business if you take initiative - Fast paced environment that can stretch your capacity quickly - Occasional perks and social events

Cons

- Burnout is rampant and treated as a personal failing rather than a direct result of poor leadership and structural dysfunction. - There is no meaningful support system. You're left to navigate complex responsibilities alone, with little to no guidance, and then blamed when things fall through the cracks. - The culture is hollow, a series of surface level gestures that are out of touch with what people actually need to feel safe, valued, or seen. - Progression is opaque at best and political at worst. Promotions and pay rises are inconsistent, often reserved for those who play the game rather than those who deliver impact. - Constructive feedback is virtually non-existent. When issues arise, you're either ignored or punished, not coached or developed. - HR serves to protect leadership and company optics, not the people. - Concerns are brushed aside, and trust in the function is practically nonexistent. - Performance improvement plans are weaponised. They're often handed out without warning or context, used to create paper trails rather than real development opportunities. - Attrition is sky high. People disappear quietly and frequently, and no one ever stops to ask why. It’s treated as normal, even expected. - Leadership operates in a vacuum. Decisions are made behind closed doors, accountability is rare, and the story changes depending on who’s listening.

Pros

Hybrid working environment, a few good benefits.

Cons

Lendable advises new employees to write reviews on glassdoor as they have just started in the company and everything is perfect and fun. Many managers and team leaders are not experienced in dealing with progression and people management or complex conversations. In order to progress, you will need to participate in socials and make friends with the relevant people . A lot of connections are built about the social aspect and if you are not the one to like to socialise outside of working hours with your colleagues you will possibly will not “fit in”. What you will also find is the managers are usually are swamped with meetings and will have 0 time for you and you will not get any regular 1-1, feed back or progress chats with them ( at this point you will barely even see them)
