Pros

Amazing colleagues!!! Nice food options!!! Clean kitchen!!!

Cons

Horrid bosses/Management!!! - Bosses come from backgrounds which make them extremely judgmental and therefore they treat you in a certain way; due to their pre concieved notions of how a certain race supposedly acts, or an area that you live in. I had a manager who came up to me in front of two other colleagues and say "I don't know why she's wearing that headscarf (which is used as a fashion accessory- not a hijab type) I think she's trying to look like a kid with cancer to get more tips". I was SHOCKED and STUNNED- I could not say anything after that. My mum had passed away from cancer four months before; so this truly hurt and disgusted me! Then another manager came up to me to get 'in' with the joke and said " I like your scarf" (sarcastically). I said to him "maybe you should buy one". To which he said, "No I think i'd look a bit sick". Carrying on from the boss. This was the last straw for me and I handed in my notice and left. I couldn't take it anymore. The assistant manager at the time was such a huge suck up and was trying to get a higher position. He was disgusting and I would just jump to plain racist and predjudiced. On one occasion; I was serving at this till. Whilst he was being a runner. In order to reduce the workload I decided to get the drinks for the current order which was right behind me. He said to " You don't have to do that; us, runners do it". I said "Oh ok". With no tone of voice or any emphasis on words or body language. He came to me and said " there's no need to give me attitude". I was shocked because nothing I had said had even an ounce of attitude attached to it. It's like he looked at me and just assumed I was a, ghetto road girl just because I am black. I said to him "I think you are getting hung up on intonation". He was shocked; I think because he wasn't exactly expecting such vocabulary to come from my mouth. There were two other occasions this egotistical, disgraceful, narcissist kepet badgering me but I can't be bothered to write it all down now. Use of microwave of certain foods!!! LOW LOW pay for alot of work! Patronising managers My experience scarred me to the point whereby I have stopped visiting the chain restaurant. And told all family members & friends to not go there.

Pros

Free food is a bonus as it is delicious

Cons

Where to start. It's extremely disorganised (new menu launches scrapped and rewritten within days of the launch, new products pulled from all stores on the whim of the CEO leaving managers to tell customers the heavily advertised new items aren't actually available.) The CEO, while charismatic, is what can only be described as a narcissist, who makes at least one person cry a week and whose attitude trickles down through the organisation leaving people constantly on edge. Those at head office are consistently told they are nothing in comparison to team members (presumably to build the morale of team members, a nice gesture but can't everyone just be equal?!). There is also an expectation to make Leon your life, to live and breathe it, your twitter handle must relate to Leon, you must always be happy- even if your cat just died- you must not only be willing to go on 'away-days' to the CEO's house where unqualified people practice acupuncture on you (ouch!), but express extensive gratitude to your host about it too. Oh and the wages are embarrassing.
