Pros

Great retail team members. Free cookies and coffee. Good bonuses and tips if you're at a busy location.

Cons

Terrible higher management. Insider club. Anything AGM and higher you have to be friends with someone. Trying too hard to be Starbucks. Low raises. High turnover and strict policy.

Pros

Coworkers make or break the experience, used to be able to play our own music

Cons

Minimum wage justified by tips. Maximum annual raise is...25 cents. Even the people who most deserved the maximum didn't get it. Business now depends on using up and throwing out exploitable workers. No one is promoted from within the ranks anymore, all trainers and managers are outside hires. What was once a tolerable service job has been ruined, like most things, by corporate greed and a desire to become the next Starbucks.
