Awful Experience

Pros

This employer is located in the downtown area of Dallas in an easy to get to location. It's inside the KMPG building which is undergoing renovation to make an already decent building into a nicer one.

Cons

The biggest challenge for me was trying to work on a team led by unqualified and unprepared Account Management . They are disorganized, uninformed and seem unable to connect the dots. Junior staff receives little to no training which often results in error-prone work. Belittling the staff - even in front of others - is common place.

Worst Experience of my Professional Life

Pros

As someone else said, the people in the lobby are very nice and cheerful - always. The location is downtown with at least a few quick service restaurants across the street that you can get to easily if you're bring your own lunch.

Cons

I cannot speak for the entire agency only my own experience which I understand was not unique to me. The account leadership that I was involved with seems unable and unprepared to work with new people. Despite being hired in a leadership role, I was kept out of all meetings and had no idea what was going on from the moment I got there until I left - despite really trying to integrate myself into the team. This agency has a terrible benefits package which they manage to keep secret until you come on board. They say something like "your normal, health, vision, dental, life, etc" but then once you're there you discover the cost and deductibles - it was almost like not having health insurance. What's more, the vision and dental don't kick in for something like six months. You will pay for your own parking while all other agencies provide parking as part of their benefits package.

Pros

There were some nice people, and it was an alright office space. The building's lobby has some of the friendliest people working.

Cons

The agency seemed very cliquey overall. One of the worst benefits package I've ever seen. Expected to work on weekends, and supervisor was too busy to take necessary time teaching. I was rarely included in client meetings so always felt uninformed and out of the loop, making it hard to do my job.
