Pros

I really enjoyed a few of the people that I worked with, as well as the clients that we had.

Cons

- MANAGEMENT ... encouraged employees to give 5 star Google reviews, so I'm sure some of the "5 star" reviews on here are fake (which is what prompted me to write a Glassdoor review). ... though this was supposed to be an HR company, a good portion of the management did not have any HR experience. ... was non-existent when you really needed their input on something. - TRAINING ... there was little to none. If you were being "trained," it was always on a deadline because teams were being allocated overall. - ENVIRONMENT ... I would honestly categorize working here as being hostile (at least at the time). I came in with little to no HR experience, which was known, and when I tried asking questions - you know, to learn - it was suggested that I should consider looking elsewhere for work (don't worry, I did). ... I was told to make changes to something client-employee-related (I can't recall exactly what it was at this point). When I said I didn't feel comfortable making changes without written consent (to put it in the employee file), I was pressured into doing it anyway. The person above me actually made the changes because I just said no. - PAY ... the pay was a joke for the amount of work you were expected to do. I was initially told that overtime was always approved because there's always something to do, so I took an hourly pay cut because putting in extra time make up the difference wasn't too much to ask and I wanted to learn HR. However, shortly after starting I was told that overtime was no longer approved. TLDR: it was so bad working here that I started to be physically affected by it by losing weight. So that was neat. Unless something drastic changed since I worked there, I wouldn't recommend anyone to work there or any business to use them as a PEO.

Thank you for your feedback. We do ask some of our employees to leave Google and Glassdoor reviews, as it gives us good insight into how our employees feel. We certainly don't give an expectation of what rating we should receive, as that defeats the purpose. I am sorry if you felt that you were pressured otherwise. I will say, all of management at this time, has experience in the areas they manage. I am not sure if this was not the case during your time with Lever1, but we are constantly working to level up all employees, including management. We are also currently working on a professional development plan and formal training, as I would agree, that the training previously offered, was minimal. These are all factors to be overcome as a small but fast-growing organization. We have already seen a tremendous improvement with the things that have been put into place. If you feel comfortable doing so, I would love to talk with you further regarding your concerns about the environment. That is not an environment we want to foster, and after completing one on one's with every employee currently working for us, I have found that everyone appears to absolutely love the company culture and environment. Of course, I definitely want to hear from those that have not had that experience. Feel free to give us a call and ask for the internal HR Manager, and I am happy to discuss further. Again, thank you for taking the time to bring these things to our attention.

Pros

None. It does not seem bad when you are interviewing but terrible when you start.

Cons

Titles mean nothing here. Be ready to work in 5 different areas and have no directions on any jobs. No processes put in place and every job should have been done the day before you get it. Turnover rate is worst I have ever seen, you are lucky if you have a coworker there more than 6 months.

Pros

The pro's are that somehow this company manages to hire some pretty cool people. They treat all of them like crap and they all leave, but they are pretty cool to work with while they are still there.

Cons

Literally every single person in leadership is uneducated and have no idea how to run a business or how to create a non-toxic work environment. They are all so outdated, polarizing, condescending, inexperienced (at least in being successful, especially over the long term) and have no business being in the roles they are in. The president of the company actually thinks and I quote, "there is no such thing as 'tone' in an email". Yes folks, this is the business acumen you would be dealing with if working there. I have never seen a company treat their employees as badly as this company nor have I seen management allow employees to talk to each other so disrespectfully. They treat everyone like they are in high school and can't be trusted. They don't care when they lose clients, they lie to their clients and they hope they're clients "don't notice" charges they shouldn't have on their invoices. It's pretty disgusting. So, truly, if you have integrity, appreciate respect in the workplace, and value strong leadership that want you to grow, this is not the place for you. This place has sloppy procedures, horrible processes, no communication, and in the end, it's their clients and employees that suffer. If you do take a job here, just know, you'll either be fired or want to quit within either days or months. At least that's how most people felt when I worked there. Good luck and if you do work there, I hope your experience is better than those that have worked there before you. Keep in mind, this reputation is throughout the community. Every recruiter I've talked to and anyone aware of Lever 1 knew all about their "practices" and high high turnover.
