Cons
Senior management has many cases of nepotism and is composed of a number (not all) of nepotistic individuals. Some of said individuals will give a passive aggressive demeanour to those asking questions when they haven't been working within the company for as long as they have, as they have already learned the many siloed practices and illogical systems they have in place. There was definitely a massive improvement in the systems/procedures during the pandemic, with online guidelines but there is a lot of sloppy execution when it came to addressing fixes both digitally and physically; if it affected all stores there was an adequate response time, if it was only your store it was on the back-burner. With that said, some great individuals like James and Laura that were emotionally intelligent that actually had people skills. Do not let the retail co-ordinator Colleen fool you, she is a snake wearing a smile. Poor salary with a negligible bonus scheme, can't imagine living on that salary in the current state of the economy. Subordinates ranged from fantastic core members of the store's identity to disgustingly poisonous and problematic to team morale that took my laissez faire management style for granted. Approach towards training is unstructured and completely dependent on who you will be working with and how long they have been working there, I was not so lucky.
